Martinske Hole
Martinske Hole is a medium sized resort situated roughly an hour away, south of Zilina. The resort is situated in the centre of Turcianska Valley, in the Lucanska Mala Fatra Mountains, 1456 meters above sea level with a vertical drop of 879m. The resort consists of 6 ski-lifts which serve 7 downhill courses with different levels of difficulty along with a snowboard park with a range of kickers and rails. There is also the opportunity for off piste skiing.
Vratna Vratna is a gem of a resort and one of Slovakia's best kept secrets. It is situated in the Mala Fatra mountain range which is part of a vast National Park. The slopes are at a range of altitiudes, from 600 to 1,550m with the maximum vertical drop being 1048m. Vratna consists of five distinct areas; Paseky, Poludnovy Grun, Prislop, Tizinka and Chleb. Each area caters for different abilities and age groups. Chleb is the highest and most notable area with some excellent challenging runs and a wide expanse of off piste skiing available.
